Upcycled and Repurposed

My whole reason for learning how to sew was to sew a quilt of my daddy's clothes.  When I started sewing I took a wide variety of classes to widen the possibilites of my skill set.  I was often told I would either quilt or sew clothes, not both.  I soon realized that I liked both, so I persued both skill sets. Although both are fun, I enjoy the non-quilt route more.  My forte right now consist of working on smaller projects like a clothing item, quilted jacket, tote bag, placemats, stuffed animals, or even pin cusions and mug rugs.  

Now I learn toward items that are upcycled, thrifted, and repurposed.  

It is my current mission to help decrease the amount of items going to landfills while making cool, fashionable, and one-of-a-kind clothes.  There might be tiny flaws, stains, or imperfections in these items, but we do our best to keep those things at a bare minimum as well as make repairs when necessary.  This is part of the character and charm of each item.
